THIS MEMBERSHIP DRIVE IS A REFERENDUM ON THE FUTURE OF
PEACE HOUSE
With your support, we will
focus on providing speaker, dialogue and movie forums, offer various types
of nonviolent communication skills training, expand our counter militarism
outreach throughout the county, and magnify our presence and voice in all
areas of social justice.
We recently received a grant from
The Carpenter Foundation that establishes Peace House as a formal practicum
site for SOU students. Interns pursuing careers in photojournalism,
nonprofit business management, political science, communication and
statistical analysis, will assist us with our work while earning school
credit. With the help of these students, we hope to undertake a community
survey this fall to learn what members want from us so that Peace House can
be led by YOU within the parameters of our Mission and tax-exempt status.
